Will liberal outrages never cease?! How dare those angry leftists ram their militant, live-and-let-live tolerance down our throats?

When tolerance itself is now seen by conservatives as its own form of intolerance we need to be doubly alert to the meanings of words people use. That is especially true for the illusionists on the right.

No matter how many times conservatives assert America is a "center right nation," the fact remains that capital-c Conservatism is not indigenous to these shores but is instead a reaction, sometimes a paranoid and pathological reaction, to the fact that America has always been a melting pot of diverse interests, ethnicities and points of view - in short, a "liberal" nation.
