You know, for all of their lecturing, you would think the Republican Party knew how to do everything better than anyone else. But the fact of the matter is, the current incarnation of the Republican Party has simply shown themselves to be incompetent at running government. 

Now, you may think this is just my partisan side showing, but the fact of the matter is, there are plenty of numbers to prove it. Every time some Republican shows you just how wonderful his party's record is, show him this post. It's thoroughly documented and sourced. In the wake of the Newtown Massacre, I have added a few extra categories certain to make their blood boil. 

If we're going to eventually have a progressive government, first, we'll have to make the case that we're far more competent to run government. This should be easy, because the data is crystal clear. Government suffers when Republicans are in charge.
